Patrick Butler of Banneker Supply Chain Solutions joins Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island Board of Directors to support the non-profit organization’s mission and purpose
North Smithfield, R.I. – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island (BBBSRI) is pleased to announce and warmly welcome Mr. Patrick Butler to the Board of Directors. Pat joined the BBBSRI board in October of 2020. “I was introduced to Pat when he reached out on behalf of Banneker up to help us with a significant storage issue due to the COVID-19 pandemic”, states Chief Executive Officer, Katje Afonseca. Not only did Banneker provide donated space to BBBSRI, Pat also hosted a clothing drive to support the mission. “COVID-19 has presented many challenging situations. Meeting generous companies and people like Pat during these times really helps to lessen the stress of this pandemic on our organization, employees and the young people we serve,” said Afonseca.
Patrick Butler is the Director of Operations at Banneker Supply Chain Solutions, one of the largest warehousing, logistics, and supply chain companies in New England. He is a results-driven executive with a unique talent for assembling and leading highly successful teams in addition to providing the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure Banneker has the proper operational controls, procedures, people, and systems in place to deliver on the company’s promises to customers and other stakeholders.
Pat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Johnson and Wales University and a Business Management Certificate from the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth University. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt, a Licensed Customs Broker, and a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
He has participated in the Bike MS 150: Ride the Rhode in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the BoldrDash Race for Special Olympics, and is a student sponsor at the San Miguel School in Providence, RI. Patrick and his wife of 28 years currently reside in Cumberland, Rhode Island and together they have two adult children – Patrick and Sarah.
